Connect Salesforce

Connect Salesforce, map profile data, and enable the Sales Cloud writers you need.

All connectors · Checked against AXO’s implementation in October 2026.

Prepare access

Use an owner or admin account in AXO and confirm the selected site. Have permission to authorize the external account or create its server credentials. Keep secrets in the connector’s protected configuration.

Connect

  1. Open Salesforce → Set up or /dashboard/salesforce. Have a Salesforce administrator configure an OAuth client with callback https://YOUR_AXO_HOST/api/salesforce/callback and the full and refresh_token scopes requested by this connector.
  2. Enter Consumer Key and Consumer Secret, then click Connect to Salesforce and authorize the intended org.
  3. Review Sync settings, Sync direction, and field mapping. Enable only the Lead, Task, Case, Campaign, or account operations you intend to use.
  4. Click Sync now and inspect Sync history and one matched record in both systems.

Verify the result

Connection and sync status are separate. The connector test checks the enabled writers and any enabled Data 360/account features; inspect each result.

Record the AXO integration or trigger result and the receiving system’s result. A saved configuration, credential check, and completed delivery establish different things. Use a controlled destination for a test that writes data or sends a message.

Fix a failed connection

The dedicated connection requests full and refresh_token; Data 360 audience reads additionally use cdp_query_api. The Salesforce user still needs object/field access. New Connected App creation is restricted by Salesforce; have the admin use the supported OAuth client type for the org.

For a saved catalog connector, open Health to read the latest error, then repair the settings through the setup method on this page. Pause delivery while correcting an unintended destination. Reconnect OAuth when its grant is revoked; for key-based connections, save the replacement key, verify it, then revoke the old key at the provider.
